Labor Education Fair Price Watch

See an unfair price? Report it. Together we’re building a public, anonymous map of grocery and retail prices — so workers and shoppers can see when corporations charge more in some neighborhoods than others.

Why this tool exists. Major grocery chains are rolling out electronic shelf labels that let corporations change prices in real time — potentially charging more in certain neighborhoods or at certain times of day. This crowdsourced reporter lets shoppers and union members build a public, anonymous map to fight back. This effort advances a National AFL-CIO resolution on “surveillance pricing” and corporate power, strongly backed by UFCW — opposing the use of personal data to charge different people different prices, and the unchecked corporate consolidation that hurts working families.Learn about UFCW →

End the Grocery Tax

Corporations gouge prices at the shelf — and the state taxes the food on top of it. Close corporate loopholes. End the food tax.

How we protect your privacy

  • We never collect your name, email, phone number, or device fingerprint.
  • Your ZIP code is truncated to the first 3 digits (e.g. 38103 → 381) — covers ~100,000 people, not just your block.
  • Server IP addresses are not stored alongside reports.
  • Reports are public so the data can’t be used against you — only against price discrimination.
