SEIU International Latino Caucus (ILC)
Organize, educate & cultivate the Latinx family to obtain power, respect & social justice for the working class.

The SEIU International Latino Caucus (ILC) is SEIU's official Latinx member caucus — organizing across the East, West, Central, and Puerto Rico regions. The platform adopted at the September 2017 ILC Convention focuses the Caucus's work around five pillars:

Immigration
DACA, TPS, and the 11 million undocumented immigrants. ILC locals and regions lead lobbying and immigration events nationwide.
Puerto Rico
After Hurricane María, the ILC raised $400K+ for SEIU's Disaster Relief Fund — distributed to UGT and SPT locals on the island.
Racial Justice
Fully committed to the fight for racial justice and dismantling structural racism — working closely with AFRAM and other SEIU caucuses.
Latino Leadership Development
Hosted the first-of-its-kind ILC Latino Leadership Summit. Grew the Caucus from zero to 350+ members with a goal of 5,000+.
Our Work in the Americas
Engaging Mexican consulates, supporting Nicaragua democracy efforts (NICA Act), and connecting U.S. organized labor with Latin America.
Quarterly in-person ILC board meetings rotate between the East, West, Central, and Puerto Rico regions. Monthly calls happen on the 3rd Monday of each month.
