Community Unity Council provides holistic services that help people successfully transition back into the community after incarceration, develop career and life skills, and strengthen their emotional and mental well-being. Through job readiness training, case management, mentorship, and trauma-informed support, CUC is dedicated to breaking cycles of poverty and incarceration while promoting healing, stability, and long-term success.
Community Unity Council stands alongside organized labor in the Mid-South. Their reentry and workforce-development work pairs naturally with the labor movement's fight for good jobs and dignity for every worker — including a fair-chance path back to work for the formerly incarcerated.
