• Create a clear agenda and share it in advance
• Set a start and end time — respect people's time
• Assign roles: facilitator, note-taker, timekeeper
• Prepare materials and reports in advance
• Start on time, every time
• Review the agenda at the beginning
• Keep discussion focused on agenda items
• Encourage participation from quieter members
• Manage dominant speakers respectfully
• Summarize decisions and action items
• End on time with clear next steps
• Make meetings relevant — discuss issues that affect them directly
• Celebrate wins and recognize members
• Include interactive elements, not just reports
• Provide food when possible — it increases attendance
• Vary meeting formats and locations
